Building Solidarity Through Theatre

This workshop and discussion will focus on two major issues: ways in which artists in all disciplines can create solidarity among themselves, and how we can better use this solidarity to build a more just society. Curated by Co-Op Theatre East (www.cooptheatreeast.org), Building Solidarity Through Theatre will begin with a hands on theatrical workshop utilizing techniques from Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed lead by the COTE Artist Ensemble before moving into a moderated discussion among the moderators and audience members about tactics, efficacy, and what it means to be an artist on the left.
