Capital and Its Discontents: Routes Out of the Crisis for Them and for Us
Submitted by Sasha Lilley on Fri, 01/14/2011 - 4:47am
Panel Abstract:
As capital profits mightily from the global economic slump, what routes might there be out of the crisis? What avenues exist for fending off austerity and revitalizing the left? And how might capital's solution to the current crisis trigger the crises of the future? Panelists David Harvey, Sasha Lilley, and David McNally discuss the crises-prone nature of capitalism, spatial fixes, and the barriers capital must perennially overcome to survive.
