Panel Abstract:
The economic crisis that began in 2008 still continues, even if the decline in economic activity has abated. This panel examines dimensions of the crisis as it enters its third year. David Harvey looks at the special role of the cities, both in Europe and the United States; David McNally places the collapse of 2008 in the context of longer patterns of accumulation; and Greg Albo brings in the special place of the public sector, as the attack on public sector unions intensifies.
