Submitted by McMillan_S on Wed, 12/01/2010 - 8:48pm
Panel Abstract:
Radical cartoonists Ted Rall, Stephanie McMillan, and Ruben Bolling will show samples of their recent cartoons and talk about the importance of creating a culture of resistance, and the ways their work contributes to this. As Berthold Brecht noted, "Art is not a mirror to reflect reality, but a hammer with which to shape it." These artists have dedicated their lives and energy to create art that contributes to the struggle for social justice and to defend the planet from ecocidal industrial capitalism.
