Abstract: 
A democratic criminology and criminal justice is one based on social justice precepts democratically established. Panelists will discuss their work and perspectives on how a new theoretical foundation can be used to guide new laws, policies, and social and criminal justice agencies and mechanisms that promote and defend a new rights-based system.
