Biography: 

Ben Manski studies the participation of ordinary people in the deliberate constitution of their societies. In the past, Manski practiced public interest law for eight years and managed national non-profit organizations, direct action campaigns, and political campaigns and parties for over twenty years. He has been involved in radical organizing since the 1980s and helped build many of the more significant mobilizations of the 1990-2010s. His most recent publication is a chapter on movement building analysis in the Palgrave Handbook of Social Movements, Revolutions, and Social Transformation; he is a past contributor to Socialism and Democracy.
