Chuck Pennacchio, PhD, is associate professor of history and politics at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, former executive director and now senior advisor to Healthcare for All Pennsylvania, convener of the Our Revolution PA working group, and coordinator of the One Payer States (single-payer) network. He was also a candidate for the United States Senate in 2006, a former aide to four U.S. Senators and one U.S. Representative, and a field organizer with SANE and Pennsylvania Jobs with Peace. Co-author of "American History in a Box," he wrote the chapters on imperialism, warfare, and diplomacy, as well as the Sixties decade and the rise of Neoliberalism and Neoconservatism. He is currently working on two books: "1968: Year Without End," and "The American Political-Industrial Complex: Admit It, Define It, Fix It."
