Fran Ilich, artist and writer, is the author of award-winning novels, a book-length essay and multiple works of narrative media. He was a fellow at Eyebeam and A Blade of Grass. he has produced work by comission of the New School’s Vera List Center for Art and Politics, No Longer Empty and others. He was Visiting Lecturer at the Literature Department of the University of California San Diego. He participated in Berlinale Talent Campus, Transmediale, ARCO, Documenta, EZLN’s Festival Mundial de la Digna Rabia. Has shown at the Walker Art Center, Creative Time Living as Form, IAGO, etc. Aridoamérica Winter Plan was a solo show commisioned by ISCP at El Museo de Los Sures. His latest project, Momochtli, is an anti-colonial film co-op whose purpose is to create a financial flow between indigenous farmworkers and the production of communitary narrative media to breakout from the boundaries of ‘industrial' narratives funded by GMO popcorn and the financial architecture of the military entertainment complex, some of the initial productions have been shown at Melkweg Amsterdam and Cinemateca Bolivariana in La Paz Bolivia.
