Dr. Charise Pimentel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at Texas State University. Her research focuses on school equity and social justice issues in the areas of Race and Education, Bilingual Education, Multicultural Education, and Critical Whiteness Studies. She has published two books: From Uncle Tom’s Cabin to The Help: Critical perspectives on White-authored narratives of black life and The (im)possible multicultural teacher: A critical approach to understanding White teachers’ multicultural work.
