Pinar Çakıroğlu-Bournous is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Crete, Greece, conducting a research project in the fields of economic history and political economy. She also serves as an Advisor to the President at the International Center for Sciences and Hellenic Values in Greece. She completed her B.Sc. (METU, Turkey) as well as her M.Sc. and Ph.D. (SOAS, University of London, UK) in the field of Economics but also has a background in Political Science (M.A.) and History (Ph.D).
