Pratik Raghu completed the Honors Program and a customized interdisciplinary BA in postcolonial ethics at Westminster College in Salt Lake City where he also researched South Asian and American indigenous peoples, philosophies, and movements. As a Chancellor’s Fellow and Global Studies PhD student at UCSB, he hopes to build upon his undergraduate research by analyzing the communal and societal alternatives to civilizational modernities prefigured by indigenous, peasant, lower-caste, and/or racially marginalized radical women’s movements in India and Mexico. Pratik co-wrote a chapter of Social Movements and World-System Transformation (Routledge, 2017) with Dr. Figueroa-Helland and has published articles in the INQUIRIES Online Student Journal.
