Susan Massad is a Professor in the Department of Foods and Nutrition at Framingham State University. She received a Fulbright Specialist grant in 2013 and Used it during her Fall semester sabbatical, at Al Quds University, School of Public Health, Abu Dis, West Bank, Palestine, where she guest lectured, developed curriculum, gave conference presentations, and did research. She is a lifelong activist and advocate for justice for Palestine. Her current research focus: Food and agricultural policy and how it affects the food Supply, socioeconomic issues related to food access, nutritional status, “food deserts,” obesity rates, food and water justice, and challenges for small farmers. She has a Doctorate of Health and Safety (H.S.D.), from Indiana University,
