Description:
The Bolivarian Revolution has been under attack for the past 18 years. The worst of these attacks have been taking place during the past 4 years, under President Nicolas Maduro, where economic difficulties hava been exacerbated y foreign and domestic actors, and most recently with the onset of politically-oriented violence. Prospects of an economic recovery and the failure of the domestic opposition to impose its agenda, opened the way for international interventionism, with the special support from the current U.S. Administration. Unilateral U.S. sanctions and attacks from the Organization of American States, an international mainstream media blockout and finantial blockade, are all part of the current siege against the democratically-elected and socialist government of Venezuela.
