He covers telecom workers, airline workers, the building trades and health and safety. Labor Notes is a media and organizing project that has been the voice of union activists who want to put Movement back in the Labor Movement. Dan works out of the East Coast Office in Brooklyn.

Schermerhorn is a retired member of Transport Workers Union Local 100. During his work life, Tim was a rank and file organizer, union reformer and union officer. Tim is a member of the Black Workers Rank and File Network.He also works with Labor For Black Lives and is a Coordinating Committee member of Democracy At Work New York (D@WNY).
